trust.photography and the 2024 Election
This document describes a national campaign to rapidly increase the adoption of C2PA/CAI/Content Credentials in smartphones as one strategy to protect photography's trust relationship with the public in the face of generative artificial intelligence. Its focus is on arming voters and poll watchers with technology (a smartphone camera and an app) to document what happens on Election Day 2024 in a way that can be used in a court of law. Click (a Nodle app) did not reply (that's OK, they really are a cryptocurrency company). We'll see about Proofmode, though they don't have the capacity to do more than a demonstration project, a proof of concept. Without a technology partner, this strategy can't succeed.
