As the climate crisis accelerates unabated, water in the West will become the defining issue determining what lives and dies. It's always been that way and no amount of dam building can change that fact. The Ancestral Puebloans (aka Anasazi) could not sustain their civilization without water. Neither will we, unless we adapt much more rapidly than we are now.
