The Bakken oil field, and its center of Watford City in North Dakota, is just north of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, part of which was at one time owned by Teddy Roosevelt (historically the home of the Mandan and Hidatsa people, among others). The oil and gas industry has no problem appropriating the image of the president that founded conservation and trust busting of monopolies (including Standard Oil) as a goal of national public policy.
